Crackdown 2 - We're gonna need bigger guns!

Crackdown was a sleeper hit for Microsoft and we were delighted to work with them on the highly anticipated sequel, Crackdown 2.

Directed by Dana Dorian, Axis completed the opening and ending movies recreating the graphic visual style of the game.

The opening movie uses a news blip-vert approach to deliver the story of recent years in Pacific City. The Freaks are on the loose and The Cell are causing trouble too.

In the words of the Voice of the Agency, We're gonna need bigger guns!

Will you be Legendary or Dreaded? That is the question posed in our new trailer for Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned.

Directed by Wiek Luijken for the Ayzenberg Agency, the trailer follows the two sides to the Armada of the Damned story and its lead character. The epic action-role playing game lets you decide what type of pirate legend you will become.

The Axis team created three worlds and a range of detailed characters and swash buckling action for the fast paced and VFX heavy trailer.

The Journey - Hard hitting VFX

Axis were approached by feature film director Richard Jobson and production company Quietstorm Films to create VFX shots for The Journey, a hard hitting short film featuring Emma Thompson.

The film has been made to support the Helen Bamber Foundation and their work to eradicate sex trafficking across the world.

The brutal and difficult subject matter was given a suitably tough treatment by Jobson. The film was shown at a premiere in New York as part of the travelling Journey installation and was released on the Guardian newspaper website.

Directed by Wiek Luijken in conjunction with the creative team at AKQA this teaser is for Brink, Bethesda's new collaboration with UK developer Splash Damage.

The teaser features a single shot realised completely in CGI with amazing detail. At first we only see abstract reflections of an unknown world, as the slow camera move continues we reveal a face.

All of the subtle animation is underpinned by a soft voice describing the Ark, which appears to be a utopia gone wrong.

Directed by Dana Dorian this commercial combines a surreal world with a delightful set of characters, as a crew of cows and their helpful farmer put their milk through an elaborate process to turn it into the One.

Look out for some charming animation as the cows don’t live an ordinary life. Most of the time they are very efficient, but if you look carefully you'll also see them waving to friends, having mishaps with suction tubes, and struggling to control their "cowcopters"!
